This is exciting, to have a publication within my own demographic. I've been painfully aware of Medium's age-ism, though for sure there are a bunch of excellent Medium writers in my age bracket -- aged late sixties and into their seventies -- so I have always had some community.

I also fit in well with The Bad Influence. I'm a strange cat, and strangeness is a feature of TBI writers and editors. It's a great and extremely creative crowd, and goofy at times but always dead serious about quality writing. It's complicated.

I'm hoping that Boomerangs develops a strong and unique culture. It's already built into those of us in the demographic. I think and hope the ultimate character of Boomerangs will be interesting and compelling. Our generation is well-educated and sure as hell we've lived through interesting and changing times.

I have a draft in the works and more sketched out, but first I'll read some more articles that you've already published.

I'm excited to be a writer on Boomerangs. I look forward to being a member, and yes, I will Read & Comment! I've always been a reader and commenter. That matters as much as writing articles to me.
