This Excellent Article is 5,240 Words Long

It tells the story of the inevitable collapse of humanity on Earth. It’s a compelling story and better-written than what I could possibly do.

I hope you read the story. It’ll take about fifteen minutes to read, a small price to pay for such excellent reasoning. Here’s what the author had to say:

“So let’s grit our teeth and confront the collapse monster. What conditions make it at once likely and off most people’s radars?” Tom Murphy, author.

And finally we get back to Malthus, because now his predictions are finally coming true:

Tomorrow is the first day in the year 2022. By 2030, nearly all of humanity’s existential threats will have taken their shots at us. Mostly they’ll win, and people will see that we were serious about these huge death tolls.

We reached this horrible point because of people’s denial of these undeniable events and their thoughts that they wouldn’t really happen — that millions of people could suddenly die.

Yeah, huh. Turned out to be true… people have suddenly begun to die. And there will be many more to come… soon.
