The only medium I tolerate is Medium

Which is strange, really. I don’t normally trust democratic means of sorting worthwhile content . . . interesting.
Do other readers, or other writers feel the same way?
Well, I don’t want to talk at any length. Except for the usual cui bono. How do mainstream, or even not-quite mainstream media benefit from headline-grabbing, clickbait or subscription-enhancing trope-writing? Whatever a trope is. I knew in college, but it seems more popular now. But I mean they all write the same stories, boring, repetitive “news stories” that are not new in any way.
In Medium, if you can’t find something new and arresting and funny or sexy or dead-on, then you aren’t browsing enough.
I’m so glad to be here.
Cui bono? I guess some people get paid in Medium. But usually a lone writer is no kind of conglomerate or institution. It can sort-of happen, but not easily.
