PRESIDENT BIDEN SEEMS LOST IN THE PAST. I’M A BOOMER WHO LIVED THROUGH PART OF THAT SAME PAST. BUT IT’S TRUE YOU CAN NEVER RETURN TO THAT PAST.

Pres. Biden: The People Hired You to Run The Country, NOT for You to Play Coy with the Pope

I read in today’s news that when asked if abortion came up in your Vatican meeting — and as U.S. Catholic bishops weigh whether to deny you the sacrament — your buddy the Pope reassured you that you could continue taking communion.

It’s hard to see the religious angle and easy to see the consequences coming from global warming and social collapse. For those who are religious, surely they have to admit that the status quo must be god’s will.

If that’s true, or even if it isn’t, the voters hired Biden to work the physical and social realities of the current crop of problems, not to debate angels on a pin or any of the interminable religious discussions that have been going on for millennia.

For Biden to be pro-Pope he’s violating the separation of church and state. Thomas Jefferson would be furious:

Hey, big deal, it’s just the first amendment.

The question is, are you incompetent because you’re senile, Mr. Biden? That could at least be understood. Or are you all tangled up in religious philosophy, which to be honest has nothing to do with running a country. Even, or especially, a country in the midst of several kinds of collapse.

Whatever past you fantasize, you seem to have forgotten that the past is past, and the people who lived in your imagined past no longer exist. The current crop of citizens in the U.S. are in a completely different state of mind from any Americans in the past.

How about you cut the crap and get to work now. Or step down for health reasons and let Kamala take over. She’ll do just fine — no new President starts out perfect or makes no mistakes. You’d understand that, right? Don’t let your secret prejudices against her stand in the way. She’s a tough prosecutor and a chief federal law enforcer, which happens to be part of the job title of the President.

If you wiffle-waffle until the elections you’ll be effectively reappointing Trump as President again. We don’t want that. Surely you don’t want to experience that crazy-making groundhog day.

I really did read this in today’s paper:

Well, I’ve said my piece.
I’m rarely long-winded.
Plus I actually no longer live in the U.S.A.
Thanks for reading.
