Another certainty I’ve developed:

Nobody except maybe Panamanians will believe me because it is positive news.

I’ve been studying our cognitive biases that natural selection so kindly gave us over the eons, and negative bias always wins.

Good news has barely 1/10th the punch.

If I pressed you to at least acknowledge our good fortune here in Panama, you’d get very pissed off at me.

So however abnormal the weather and climate have become in the rest of the world, I’m finding that it’s the humans who are abnormal and are the weirdest of all these phenomena.
