Ah, well said.

You know what some people say about past, present, and future. The past is done and is inalterable, but can be remembered. The present is constantly becoming the past, but is the only place we can actually do things. The future has possiblilies but they won't come true until actually done in the present, to immediately become the past.

No, I'm not senile--that's just my sloppy summarizing.

Anyway, the U.S. can't go back to whatever Biden remembers as a better place. That place is gone, the populace now is far different...

(It does seem like Bernie Sanders is competent in spite of his age. Though the past and present don't predict the future.)

We could sure use him in the White House, or Kamala Harris...

Biden is hopeless and is dragging the country down with his lack of assertiveness.

Yep, born with a pen in hand, 1,000 ideas at the outset, reading a couple of novels a week. Writing letters and articles for my neighbors, for my teachers and then my professors in university...

All this started in 1961 when I was 8. I have never stopped and now I'm 68.

As for Medium, it's a good tool for formatting and posting my writing. But Medium itself is profoundly annoying and even disturbing. They're full of -isms.

The Medium Challenge was a come-on and very poorly managed. I'm offended that the winner lacked a subtitle and photo attribution.

But... I love writing to prompts. I'll be submitting my writing about writing (and reading) forthwith.

Thanks for the prompt, Elizabeth Dawber.

Well thanks. These are slow cancers I've known were coming since 60 years ago. Plus whatever cigarettes are doing to me.

As for motorcycles, for now at least all that fast is in the past. But I rode bikes since age 16 up to almost 60.

I might eventually borrow a bike here in Panama and show them what fast looks like.

Thanks for the note.

Thank you Mr. House. Nice to hear from you.

It's a good one, all right. It might be one of the few things my father shared with me. We really didn't get along, but there was something about using one word so many times in a row that fascinated both of us.

I don't know where *he* got the message, unless he figured it out on his own.

Remarkable stories. Excellent writing.

Thank you very much for this article.

I've seen many of these photos over the years, but rarely heard explanations of what they meant.

Good work, and thanks again.

Jesus Christ. Censorship over nudity caused by napalm? No censorship due to the absolute insanity and cruelty of waging war?

If they can't get their priorities straight, maybe it is time to kill off and then reboot the human race.
